Hello all! Sorry it has been so long, but we have been working like... well... we have been really busy! We did Free Spirit gathering, Sacred Space, Starwood, and East Kingdom War Camp practically back to back! We were NOT among those at the Brushwood campground during Sirius Rising (the week before Starwood) that got hit by the Tornado. (yes, tornado!) We were at Sacred Space during that time, safely indoors at a hotel... We arrived a bit late for Starwood, and got confirmation of the Tornado. No serious injuries, but a lot of property damage. Many of the merchants lost quite a bit! We just got back from East Kingdom War Camp (an SCA pre-Pennsic event), where we did fairly well as merchants, and more importantly we saw several friends we haven't seen in a long time. I bought some lovely garb, details are being chatted up on the SCA-Garb list on yahooGroups even now... I will be attending Pennsic, but only as an attendee, not as Fabric Dragon, the merchant (see announcement below). So you may see me there, but if you want anything delivered on site, you have to let me know ahead of time! On a personal note... Dad is doing well after his heart surgery. He is much better, and walking fairly well, although his legs are still weak. His cardiologist is very happy with him!My Grandmother celebrated her 94th birthday this past Friday (July 27). 94 years old, and still quite active! I don't get to see her too often as she lives in Denver. Blessings to all of you, Kirsten |

News flash! I will be attending Pennsic and working part-time in the Bazaar at the shop "The Serene Cat". I will be attending thanks to meeting the manager of that store, who has arranged to let me work there and "get my feet wet" at Pennsic (well, if they have another of their famous storms, I'll probably get more than my feet wet, but you know what I mean). I will not be attending at "Fabric Dragon" the merchant, although I may be bringing a small number of goods to sell, I will be working in someone else's shop. If you want me to bring any merchandise for you to pick up when I get there, I must be notified in advance or there is no guarantee that I will bring it. Kirsten |
